About CEDIM

The Mechatronics Research and Development Centre is a space within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería, dedicated to applied research, prototype development, and the technical training of students.

What we do

We bring together students from different specialities around engineering projects with a concrete goal: taking an idea from design to a working prototype. Work is organised into research lines, each with its own team and schedule.

Alongside that, we run workshops open to the whole faculty, so the tools we use internally are within reach of any interested student, regardless of their year or speciality.

Mission

To drive research and technological development in mechatronics within the university, training students capable of solving real engineering problems through multidisciplinary work.

Vision

To establish ourselves as a national reference in mechatronics research, with projects that reach beyond academia and deliver solutions applicable to industry and the wider community.
